Location of the hotel
Residenz is located at the quiet square Sweelinckplein of the trendy neighbourhood Duinoord and within walking distance of the congress hall, museums, Zorgvliet park and various embassies. The Hague city centre, harbour and beach are a 10-minute tram ride away. Across the street from Residenz is the buzzing Reinkenstraat with shops, a post office and numerous cafe’s where you can wine and dine.
Directions by car (March April 2013)
- At the Prins Clausplein square, follow signs to Den Haag A12.
- This motorway ends in a T-crossing.
- At the T-crossing turn left following direction Centrum/Scheveningen haven.
- After approx. 300 meters turn right at the traffic lights (this is the Koningskade, eventually becoming the Raamweg).
- You will drive along the Chamber of Commerce on your right hand side.
- Turn left at the fourth traffic lights (on your right you will see the building of Orange telecom) into the Laan Copes van Cattenburch, becoming Burgemeester Patijnlaan.
- Stay on this road until you see the Peace Palace and follow the road around the palace (Carnegielaan).
- The Carnegielaan splits at the end, keep to the right at the traffic lights (Groot Hertoginnelaan)
- On the Groot Hertoginnelaan you'll pass two traffic lights. At the second one turn left (2e Sweelinckstraat).
- At the end of the street you've reached the Sweelinckplein, at number 35 you will find Residenz.

From the Hague Central Station
- Take tram number 3 direction Loosduinen
- Get off at the tram stop Conradkade Zuid
- Walk +/- 40 m towards the direction from where the tram came from and turn left into the Reinkenstraat street
- Walk down the street until you reach the Sweelinckplein square
- Residenz is on the Sweelinckplein number 35
From train station “Holland Spoor” (the Hague)
- At the entrance of the train station take tram number 11 direction Scheveningen Haven.
- Get off at the tram stop Laan van Meerdervoort Oost
- Cross the Laan van Meerdervoort Oost (to your right) and into the Reinkenstraat (opposite the Albert Heijn supermarket)
- Walk down the street until you reach the Sweelinckplein square
- Residenz is located at the Sweelinckplein number 35
